Shawn Flynn

Project Estimator

Shawn was born in Long Beach and raised in Norco California. He grew up on a small horse ranch with 13 horses and various livestock. In his youth, Shawn showed POA horses and won several State, National and even a World Championship. Shawn participated in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Shawn earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Resource Administration from Sacramento State University, and holds a Technical Diploma in Motorcycle Technology from York Technical Institute of York Pennsylvania.

Shawn started working construction as a laborer working on remodels, eventually working his way management with some of the top construction companies in Northern California. Shawn is an avid gardener focusing on varieties of hot chili peppers. When time allows, he enjoys hiking, fishing, camping and restoring old hand tools.

STEVE TANKERSLEY

Owner and President

Steven Tankersley has 15 years of project management experience in education, medical, federal, private works, and government agency contracts. Steven is certified in OSHA 30, US Army Corps Quality Management, and is a LEED Accredited Professional as well as a licensed general contractor (B) in California. Steve moved to Sacramento from Morgan Hill, CA in 2003, and graduated from CSU Sacramento with his degree in Construction Management (BS). Steve started Tankersley Construction in 2017 with the vision to bring large-scale commercial construction organization, quality, and execution to small and midsize residential and commercial property owners. Steve is a member of two national trade organizations, Remodeler’s Advantage and National Association of Remodeling Industry.

Steve and Heather married in 2012, and have two young boys, Hunter and Bryce, together. When Steve isn't working, he enjoys spending time with his family, wakeboarding, fishing, cooking, or traveling.

HEATHER TANKERSLEY

Co-Owner and Vice President - Operations

Heather has always worked for Tankersley Construction, however she joined full time in 2019 as the Vice President of Operations. Prior to her current role, Heather managed complex electrical projects for some of the largest electrical contractors in the United States. Heather's prior project experience includes new student housing at Sacramento State University, new classrooms for UC Hastings, medical facility expansion at Folsom State Prison, and multiple VA and healthcare projects throughout Northern California. When Heather isn't on the jobsite, she enjoys working out, running, wakeboarding, and being a mom to her and Steve’s two young sons.

BRIAN DUQUETTE

Production Manager

Brian oversees Tankersley Construction field operations as Production Managaer ensuring everyone works safely, our schedules are met, and we are putting quality work into place. Prior to joining Tankersley Contruction, Brian worked as a carpenter, lead carpenter, welder, and Superintendent for some of the private and public works contractors in California. Brian has decades of experience in private works, retail, waste water treatment plants, and public works projects. When Brian isn't on the jobsite, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family, camping, wakeboarding, and taking things apart and putting them back together.

AMY BERTRAM

Project Manager

After working in many different industries, Amy Bertram has been with Tankersley Construction from nearly the very beginning. Her experience working with people and striving for excellent customer service make her a valued member of the team. When Amy is not working on making your dreams become a reality, she enjoys adventures with her husband and two labs either on their 1 acre "farm" or in the mountains

BRIAN STAMMLER

Project Manager

Brian Stammler was born in San Francisco, Ca. At age 10 the family moved to Rohnert Park, Ca where he was raised. Brian moved to Sacramento in 2008 to pursue his AS degree in Drafting and Design and a BS in Construction and Project Management. He spent most of his professional career in customer service and some in construction until after graduating with his AS degree in Drafting and Design. Previously, Brian worked as an assembler a Japanese CNC Manufacturing company in Davis, CA. Once realizing his passion was in building and construction, Brian joined Tankersley Construction in 2019. Brian lives in Folsom, CA with his Girlfriend and his 2 kids, Mason 14 and Avery 3 mos. He enjoys spending his free time with his family going on hikes, kayaking, camping, playing sports, small DIY projects at home and any types of activities outdoors.

AUTUMN PRESSLEY

Construction Coordinator

Autumn Pressley was born and raised in Sacramento, CA. She started out her career in customer service but wanted to find a career that would challenge her and help her grow in an industry. Autumn immersed herself in the Commercial Construction industry 2 years ago and has enjoyed expanding her knowledge about both Residential and Commercial Construction. Autumn married in December 2017 and lives with her husband, cat, great dane, and Shepherd/Husky mix. In her free time, you can find her going on hikes with her husband and dogs, working out at the gym, or relaxing on the couch reading a book.

Brittany G

Project Manager

Brittany was born and raised in the Sacramento area. After starting and running her own successful landscaping company, she left the business to join a growing production home builder and successfully managed millions of dollars in production homes throughout Northern California. Brittany joined Tankersley Construction to focus on more client-centered projects and to stay closer to home. When Brittany isn't busy making our clients' dreams come true, she can be found spending time with her kids and family, boating, wake surfing, or traveling. "

Patrick W

Carpenter

Patrick moved to California from Colorado in 2019 and joined Tankersley Construction shortly after. Patrick has decades of high-end residential and commercial carpentry experience and is our go-to when we have a difficult problem that needs solving! When Patrick isn't building, he can be found working with his church or spending time with his family.

Tyler S

Field Manager

Tyler has over a decade of detailed finish carpentry experience on high-end projects throughout the Sacramento region. Tyler prides himself in his high level of detail and attention, and isn't afraid of a challenge. In fact, we tell our designers that if they can draw it, Tyler can build it!

Jacob C

Carpenter Apprentice

Jacob grew up in the construction industry, working for his family business. When Jacob isn't on the jobsite, he enjoys traveling, hiking, snowboarding, and working on his truck.
