Tucked inside Wyndgate, a private gated enclave in the Wilhaggin Oaks community of Sacramento's Arden-Arcade neighborhood, this home had everything the owner was looking for on the outside: quiet streets, mature oaks, and easy access to the American River, nearby trails, restaurants, and shopping. The inside was another story. The home's 1980s interior felt dated and closed off, and it no longer matched the way she wanted to live.
This wasn't the owner's first remodel, and she came in knowing exactly what she wanted: a modern take on the house, shaped by the clean, livable style of Miche Victoria Design. The goal was to keep what made the location special while giving the interior a complete transformation, from layout and finishes to the way each room connects to the next.
Our Approach
We were brought on as general contractor by the owner and interior designer while the home was still in escrow, right at the start of design. Joining that early let us work side by side with Miche Victoria Design from day one, so budget, constructability, and schedule were part of every design decision rather than an afterthought.
Before a single wall came down, our team led full preconstruction: detailed budgeting, project planning, permitting, and HOA review. Working within a private gated community meant coordinating closely with the HOA on approvals, access, and neighbor considerations, and getting that groundwork right set the project up for a smooth start.
Navigating the Unexpected
Whole home remodels of this era rarely go exactly to plan, and Wyndgate was no exception. Once demolition opened up the walls, we uncovered several unforeseen conditions that required quick thinking and careful coordination. Our team worked through each surprise with the owner and designer, presenting clear options, protecting the design intent, and keeping the project moving forward.

Today the home pairs the setting she fell in love with and a modern interior that reflects her style and Miche Victoria Design's signature look.
